In-home baby and family sessions are the most relaxed photoshoots. Why? Because I shy away from bean bags or cute props that do or don’t fit, I prefer to capture that overwhelming love that shows when you hold your newborn. Emotion is better than perfection. It’s the love connection between parents and babies that inspires me and I think these are the photos that will also stand the test of time.
One great advice for expecting parents is always book your newborn photo shoot when you are pregnant. Once the baby arrives, everything feels overwhelming, there’s the healing of the body, the adjustment to a new rhythm, family visiting and the newborn photos are the last thing on your mind. If you organise your session a couple of months in advance, you commit to two hours of magic that will always remind you of this ”wonderful emotional earthquake” that babies bring in our life.
