Motherhood Romance

This is not how history books will write about it, but I think 2020 was the year of Mothers. The mental load of motherhood coupled with working from home, in a global pandemic, probably with no support bubble, was no easy task. Bravery is not loud, it is soft and kind, and it means always showing up. Sending lots of love to all mothers (and carers) out there and hoping the second part of 2021 brings brighter days for you all.

Lockdown ‘‘stole’’ from us all the recent holidays so if you are planning for a late celebration of Mother’s Day (birthday, anniversary, Easter and so on), a motherhood photoshoot is all you need. Just 45 minutes of romance, joy, cuddles, love in your own home and you will receive 15 digital images with your little ones that you will cherish forever. And so will your kids, that's a promise.

Do all mothers find that the lack of sleep is messing with their memories? That the haze of those early days, months (or years) makes it hard to appreciate the beauty of the struggle? I feel you. And I do indeed find beauty in the struggle. Especially since it goes hand in hand with moments like this. Capturing them for others makes my motherhood journey easier. As if I can share with other women all the feelings that my mind is too tired to verbalise. A form of sisterhood and much needed resilience.
