The beauty of lifestyle newborn photography approach is that it leaves room for honest interactions. They show the most real moments of connections, capturing the joy and tenderness of those first days home with your new baby.
I get most fulfilment from my work when photos look like a memory or a feeling. Not interested in sharpness or seeing perfect smiles, but in touching hands, warm hugs and pure joy.
As an example - in professional photography, you don't often see images with newborns crying. I wonder why. After all, this is how newborns communicate with us. This is how they tell us ''I need a cuddle'', ''I am tired'' or ''could I have some milk, please''. It's their only tool and they know how to use it so well and yet, we are scared of it. Well, I believe our little ones are very resilient and in my journey towards a more documentary approach, I will make sure to capture it all. The love, the laughter, the cuddles, the crying, the tiredness, the joy. All of it! Give it a bit of time and I am sure these are the photos that will matter most.
