I see arms and hands as deep roots of parental love. There’s no caregiving without touch and our arms are always ready to comfort, to support, to cuddle, to provide warmth, to lift up, to carry, to push, to encourage or stop from danger. No words are necessary when you open wide your arms reaching towards your children. Those arms are their emotional safe heaven and I know no better feeling than when they jump into them, always with the certainty that we'll catch them.
With my family photography I aim to capture that feeling of safety and love that children feel when falling into our arms. I want them to have tangible proof how much there are loved by you.
How does that work on the day of your family photo shoot?
My style is organic, I will focus on capturing mainly loving moments of connection between you and your children. The best thing about natural family photography is that there’s no need in purchasing fancy outfits, getting your hair styled at a salon or stressing everyone to be on their best behaviour. No, all you have to do is spend time with your loved ones and I will capture it all. The silly fun games, the beautiful loud chaos, the quiet loving gaze, the tired little hands asking to be picked up, the kisses, the cuddles and all the love that you have for one another will make your family photos simply perfect.
What if my toddler runs away?
Well, I love family photo shoots with toddlers. They don’t need to stay still if there default is to run and explore. I say, RUN and EXPLORE with them. Toddlers are often seeking connection and they love when parents join them in their wild adventures. So join their fun, be their partner in crime and I promise you this will be an amazing experience both for you and your toddler. You can chase them, kiss them, dig for worms in the forest, throw leaves up in the air or simply cuddle.
