When we are in the middle of parenting two (or more) little children, life and routine can sometimes feel overwhelming. As parents will tell you, transitions can take forever, there’s always someone hungry or tired, everyone needs you present all the time and sleep is not a guaranteed thing. With my family photography, I am aim to capture not so much the struggle of all this, but the romance of daily life. We all know it’s hard, but I also want you to see how beautiful it is to have tiny hands always reaching for you, tired eyes looking for comfort, the deep love of physical and emotional connection, the joy of silly games, that incredible warmth of a cuddle. Our annual photoshoots with Emily’s family are the highlight of my summers. Every year we meet in Greenwich Park, one of my favourite locations in London, the perfect playground for kids and adults alike. This time around, they brought their new family member as well. It was a foggy summer morning and we were the only ones around Greenwich Park, plus the occasional jogger and dog walker. Starting early means we can have the whole park to ourselves, the little ones are full of beans and the freedom that comes with that allows for some pretty special family photos. I am feeling very grateful to be trusted with such special memories.
