Toddler shenanigans and fun on a newborn photo shoot in Wimbledon, South-West London

Photographing families welcoming their new baby is one of my favourite things in the world. If I had to define my newborn photography style, it would be "finding romance in the mundane". The routine of daily tasks feels so overwhelming when you have a young baby, like an outside force that took your life over. It's hard and it's beautiful. And I love capturing it all: the feeding around the clock, the shushing to sleep, the holding the baby for a peaceful sleep, the lullabies, the grandparents visiting from different continents to act as support system, the milk spit ups, the overprotective pet sibling, the quietness and the peace. These moments are an invitation to connection, an open channel for building a relationship with this new being that suddenly lives with you. I love witnessing quiet scenes of domestic bliss.

This Wimbledon newborn photoshoot was my fourth one with Y’s family. Every time I walk into their home, it's like electricity buzzes all around me from all the giggles, hugs and loving moments of connection. Here’s a small selection from our Newborn photography photoshoot in Wimbledon, SW London.
